The German-engineered Merkur 1904 includes the same
head design as Merkur Classics, but pays homage to the
original 1904 Gillette safety razor in its handsome,
diamond patterned handle, which is six-sided for an
extra-sure grip. The 1904 is available in both standard
and open comb varieties.

I bought this razor 2 years ago to save money on those expensive cartidges i was buying for my gillette,i love this razor it shaves very close and replacement blades are very cheap compared to the cartidges for my other, its very well made and your getting a whole lot of razor for the money the razor payed for itself after the first 3 refill packs i bought for it .

I learned how to shave on my dads old Gillette Adjustable Safety Razor and it was a tedious at first for me to do shave with it, but found pleasure in shaving with it then, but after moving out and since I've been using disposables, and been trying to reuse cartridges to save money. I did a little surfing on the web to see if I could find a cheaper cartridges and however came along Royalshave.com and was just astounded with the products they carry.. and I came along the Merker "1904" 42C... call it nostalgic.. call it old school.. Upon seeing the design of this beauty, I thought I'd give it a try.... AND I DID.. This razor is immaculate in design and in action..(although it's a 3 piece). The handle may be a little short for my preference, but still offers an awesome and close shave that can not compare to disposables. but mostly the razor reminded me of how I started shaving with the old mans Gillette. A great buy, cuts the cash all together on disposables.. If you're reading this.. GET ONE.. you won't be disappointed.... |

This Razor should cost alot more for the way it looks and shaves. I had no trouble shaving with this razor from the first time I used it. I have never wet shaved before. I highly recommend this razor. Especially for the mony
