The German-engineered Merkur 1904 includes the same
head design as Merkur Classics, but pays homage to the
original 1904 Gillette safety razor in its handsome,
diamond patterned handle, which is six sided for an
extra-sure grip. Made to cut against tough,
heavy beards, the open tooth variety is recommended for
experienced wet shavers.

Wanting to put to rest my previous razor, a 1922 Gillette Bostonian inherited from my grandfather, I searched high and low for a comparable razor. This razor absolutely fit the bill. Great razor, great shave, and very comfortable handle. Also, when I talked to customer service, they were absolutely pleasant and helpful. Will do business with you again!
