This is by far the best Safety Razor I have ever owned! I have tryed several Safety Razors in the past, but the Merkur 45 Bakelite DE Razor is the best on the market. I love that it's light weight, and easy to handle. I also, love that it's smooth on both sides of Razor head. I'm going to purchase two more of the Merkur 45 Bakelite De Razor, just in case Merkur decieced to stop making them, that's how much I love it! For anyone looking to purchase a Safety Razor, the Merkur 45 Bakelite DE Razor is the one. It works great without the high price, this is the one you should buy. You could say, the Merkur 45 Bakelite DE Razor has a modern day feel with an old school look. |

This new bakelite Merkur is wonderful! Doesn't have the teeth indentations on the edge like my 33G has, but so far don't miss them. VERY lightweight, it's going to be perfect for travel. The 10-pack of blades is a nice bonus. Combine a 5-star razor with Royal Shave's 5-star speedy shipping and you have a great combination. Thank you, Royal Shave!

This is new head geometry and it is GOOD..let me restate that ..GREAT !!!A very light weight ,comfortable and unique razor for any shaver who has only one or dozens of razors. YOU will not regret your purchase. I believe soon enough these will be avail. in a more pricy material ..but for now Fantastic!! Great for vacations or a daily shaver.
