5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 It's Actually a MÜHLE R89 Head, 1.3.2014

Dreadnought is not copying Edwin Jagger. It just so happens they (Edwin Jagger & Dreadnought) both use Muhle heads. Only the handles differ and would be a matter of preference. I have to agree with the guy below that the Spartan would be the perfect gift for many people for its' look. If you want to be a purist, put your money where your mouth is and spend the extra dough for a Muhle.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Better than Jagger DE89, 4.28.2013

Why? Because the notion that we're saving money on the hobby is really a farce, isn't it? If all you cared about was the shave, get a Bic disposable, they shave very well. If want a really cool looking razor, or, if you're giving a gift to a manly man, which razor would you rather have?

3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Same as Edwin Jagger DE89 but without $44 Logo, 10.26.2012
Reviewer: Phil (Manhattan, NY)

Yup, should have read the first review before I bought this. The razor looks great, but it came in a zip lock bag (no original packaging), I found a hair on it, and I found a dried water drop residue where the blade goes... Still a nice gift I guess.

So I'm pretty sure this is just an Edwin Jagger razor with a nifty logo on top. The Dreadnought brand is just a revamped version of the British Bluebeard's Revenge except that razor was just a normal EJ razor and this one is the one with the ridged handle. It shaves well and looks awesome so I can't complain though...
