Attempted the arm hair test out of the box, since I didn't feel any tugging, I thought I was in for a good hone session. Upon closer inspection I noticed several longer hairs laying on the blade. Gave it a good stropping, and immediately felt the difference from my Chinese "off brand" that was my beginner razor.
The style of the scales and gold etching has gotten a lot of attention from close friends, and being from Solingen, with proper care, will likely hand it down to the next generation. (If I am willing to part with it)

This product came exactly as described and a day early. I tested it when it arrived and it was sharp enough to shave immediately. The gold is exquisite and the handle looks like real pearl. This is surely a 1st-class razor and I would recommend it to anyone willing to give the extra money it takes to purchase true quality.
