The 5/8" blade, which doubles as a canvas for reverse gold etching and gold plating along the spine, is secured in a handle fashioned from genuine buffalo horn. The natural patterns of the horn ensure a one-of-a-kind finish, hand-polished to perfection by a member of the legendary Dovo family of craftsmen.

No, regrets about this blade. Very Sharp and easily Strops, nice weight and feel. Very comparable with my TI if not superior to it. Both blades have their own feel. You can't beat the beauty of this blade also. This is my third razor and am very pleased and am looking at adding another Dovo to my set.

This is my first straight razor and I did a LOT of shopping around before I made the purchase. After searching for the the particular type of razor that will serve me for a life-time, I did extensive searches online to find the best price. RoyalShave.com had this razor at the lowest price! Ordering was easy, shipping was fast and the razor was everything I wanted it to be. The pointed tip allows for precision trimming; the small band of rubber on the tang of the blade gives a secure grip when shaving; the overall construction of the razor is superb, with easy but wobble-free rotation of the blade between the knife-scales. The gold, contoured spine of the blade with the etching on the face combined with the buffalo horn scales gives it such a classic look. This is a BEAUTIFUL razor! Thank you RoyalShave!

- Exceptional craftsmanship - Gorgeous blade and dark bone - I am new to the straight razor lifestyle but I think this is about as nice of a shave as you can expect (again, I have nothing to compare this to except the Merkur Vision Safety razor which cuts as well but is more maneuverable).
