Initially, I bought the Pils safety razor in brushed stainless steel configuration from Royal Shave. I experienced such great shaves with the 101 NE that I knew it would be my primary razor forever. Subsequently, I ordered the matching badger brush. I was rewarded with a rich lather when I used Geo F. Trumper shaving cream. My favorite is the lime scent. The badger brush didn't look right on my Dovo stand, so I decided to bite the bullet and complete my set with the Pils stand. Now, when I walk into my bathroom and see the complete set with razor, brush, and stand, I always smile. Not only is this set functional - it is minimalistic and elegant. To my knowledge, Royal Shave is the only purveyor of Pils in the United States, and I want to thank them for making this available to us. This set is something that I will pass on to my son. It is absolutely beautiful!

Not only does this shaving set look amazing, IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY. I'm contemplating putting this in my guest bathroom just so I can show it off to my friends when they're here. The brush might be a little on the smaller side, but it still works and lathers up all my soaps really well. The razor takes a little bit of a learning curve, but after about a week of adjusting your angle, you'll get that PERFECT shave.
