I'm new to safety razor shaving, and this set was my first purchase. I used to hate shaving because it was so harsh on my face, but this has made it a much more pleasant experience. The learning curve wasn't particularly steep, it seems like one those "easy to learn, hard to master" kinds of things! The badger hair brush is fantastic, I had heard badger hair was the way to go but I didn't realize how amazing it is at soaking up water, and instantly shedding it when you flick the brush out a few times. I like the Omega soap, although starting out I prefer actual creams as I find it easier to get a good lather with them. I think as I get more experience using the brush, the soap will become easier to work as well. I definitely recommend this set to anyone looking to start out with safety razor shaving, it's given me the closest shave of my life and looks super sharp sitting on my counter!
