Here is my review on each of the blades... i have sensitive skin and i am very careful while shaving.
Lords Platinum: Becomes rough on the second day. My skin burns at times.
Feather: Sharp and might last longer than three days. Highly recommended.
Derby Extra: The package had Derby Extra and i did like it.
Merkur: Excellent and stays sharp for three days.
Wilkinson: My favourite amongst them all. Buy this one alone and its worth the money.

Hey fellow new wetshavers, I assume you are new because you are looking at a blade pack so excuse me if this is incorrect. Anyways, if your new and you have already picked out your cream/soap, after shave, razor, and brush then this is the last thing you need to get started. This pack comes with most of the more common blades and will let you try them and find out which blade works the best for you, this is the bees knees.

As a beginner, what more could you ask for when searching for that perfect blade? This sampler is excellent, and has all of the major brands that are highly recommended. Get this sampler if you don't know what blade you like.

A sampler like this one is a must for the new DE shavers. The reality is that blade brands work differently with different types/brands of razors as well as different skin types and shaving creams/soaps, etc. It is basically a trial and error process finding the right blades(s) for you. Save yourself some time and effort and get the sampler when you get your new razor. Don't order significant quantities of any blade - regardless of the reviews you read about it - until you have had a chance to try them for yourself. What works great for one person may be a total disaster for another.
