This beautiful German-made shaving brush combines quality and value. The Gold Dachs Kaleidoscope Shaving Brush features high quality silvertip badger hair held together in a black base which is then encased by a clear acrylic handle. The bottom of the black base is adorned with a Gold Dachs logo which can be seen through the octagonal handle. Brush Dimensions are approximate. Bristle Knot: 24 mm Handle Height: 43 mm Total Height: 110 mm We recommend using the 30 Degree S1 Shaving Stand or 30 Degree S5 Shaving Stand to store this brush.

I'm somewhat new to wetshaving, but my father always used a silvertip badger brush when he shaved. The brush I owned prior to buying this one was a cheap rough one that came in a boxed starter set with soap, a mug, and a stand.
So I looked for a nice soft-looking economical badger brush and found this guy. Overall, I enjoy the size, shape and softness of this brush. It holds a fair amount of water, and unlike my old cheapo brush, this one is very luxurious to use. I've been using it for approximately a week and a half and I've seen no "poor craftsmanship" issues that cheaper brushes exhibit such as uneven bristles and bristles that fall out. The only thing I don't like so much about this brush is the acrylic handle. I prefer something that looks more traditional such as metal or faux ivory or wood. All in all, a very minor quibble.
For the price this brush can not be beaten.

WOW..!!!! Super nice brush for this amount of money..nice bloom and wonderful detailing on the handle..this is nice to use and look at..great value!!
