Easily one of the best shaving products I have used. I've been using a middle of the road de blade and my face started feeling significantly less irritated when I started using this product.

After using this product for a preshave, lathering up with proraso shave cream, and shaving with a safety razor I have seen no benefit. Post shave, this stuff is great, I would have given it a full five stars had I really seen a benefit to using it pre shave.

I'm new to safety razor shaving and was pretty tentative as my skin is pretty tender. So far it's been a month and man, it sure is a fine way to start the day. It took me about four shaves to feel like I'd been doing it for years. That said, I do believe that a big reason it all went so smoothly (pun intended) is this product. Granted, I haven't tried other products but I also have no intention of doing so either. It is indeed outstanding...and then some. |

I find that if I use a little of this cream pre-shave a few times a week I have no razor burn issues at all. I use the entire line of Proraso products. They are the best!

This is it--the shaving products that made traditional wetshaving worth it for me. It's absolutely effective in reducing nicks, cuts, and irritation--this stuff really does work. Despite being a somewhat small jar, it does last. I'm about half way through a jar I purchased about 9 months ago. Just a small amount rubbed into the beard before applying lather and you're on your way to excellence.

Proraso pre shave is not only a great product but very economical. Once you rub the lotion on to your face prior to shaving you feel the invigorating feeling of coolness and your face just feels good. Then when you shave you notice how easily the blade glides across your face, even with a thick beard like mine. A great combination is to use Proraso pre shave and then proraso shaving creme, then follow up with either the proraso after shave balm or even use the pre shave lotion again. Your face will love you for using these products. The pre shave is very economical and will give you months of use from the small jar as it goes a long long way. Shave cool my friends. |

Skin conditioning is vital to all shavers, for both face and scalp shavers. There's a reason Proraso has been around for 100+ years... because it's excellent. My grandfather had this as a staple in his barbershop. Today, I use it myself, both before and after I shave my face and head. You cannot go wrong with any Proraso product. Highly recommended!
