First time I tried this stuff, I felt amazeing results with the glide of the razor. I used the unscented but even though it says unscented it actually smells great and it lasts forever. I highly recommend this product

I tried the Sandalwood and found the oil to be thickish and not easy to rinse off after shaving. It might have helped my shave a little, but not enough to get past the oily feeling. Since I used it, I've gone to DE shaving and love it, although razor burn is an occasional problem. Proraso (green stripe) Pre-shave Balm has been great post-shave,but negligable as a pre-shave protectant. I might look at other pre-shave oils, this one didn't work for my average beard and skin. Good quality stuff, which is why the four stars.

This was the first sandalwood product I ever tried, now having tried them all, I can say this is still by far the best! The AOS sandal wood fragrance is the most pleasing scent in my shave bag, it easily out-smells the likes of TOBS, and TF&H, with a sandalwood interpretation that I find just strong enough, without smelling too earthy or bland. A real goldie-locks scent! I use this pre shave with any soap or creme I feel will blend well with its scent (save for the more floral or fruity cremes that I rarely use), it always leaves my skin feeling warm and refreshed. It allows a straight to glide quite smoothly, GREATLY enhancing the comfort of the overall shave. I'll even re-apply before the S-N pass just as a precaution (and because I love how it makes my skin feel). Royal Shave has this product for the exact same price AOS sells it in their boutique stores, and if you compare it to other shave oils, you are getting a great deal for your money. Also, I would like to add that the label only mentions three or so ingredients (mostly natural oils) and fragrance, which means it is a very simple formula, and very unlikely to irritate even the most sensitive skins.
