I've been using this soap, in rotation, for about a year now. It is perfectly sized for daily or travel use and affords the user a soft lavender scent as they shave. As to performance - simply excellent. I get a lasting lather that is not drying and provides excellent cushion and lubrication when shaving. There are a few products that I will always be looking for refills for when I run out (MWF, Tabac, etc.). This is one of those products.

First I must compliment Royal Shave on the easiest ordering and fastest shipping I have found. I was impressed with the Gold Dachs Shaving Soap from the first shave. It rates with Tabac, T&H and Kent as one of my favortie shaving soaps. I only wish the pucks were larger!!! Great job Royal Shave!!

Finally, a product that is all that is what it claims to be! I had read that Gold Dachs Rivivage Shaving soap was a quality soap by my fellow straight razor shavers, so inspite of the price, I decided to give it a shot. I was not dissapointed. I very effortlessly attained a fluffy lather, and it goes on like butter. The razor glided on my skin and the shave was smooth and comfortable. The skin felt well protected with no hint of razor burn. Very impressive! Possibly the best soap I have ever used, and I have used all the big brands. Gold Dachs gets a gold medal in my book!
