One shaving puck will last about 3 months with normal usage. Comes in an elegant rosewood bowl that is great for lathering.

I have used Dr Dittmar shaving soap before with great results. It has, for me, an extremely attractive soapy-spicy scent and easily produces a very smooth creamy foam that enables a great shave. Dr Dittmar's soap takes its place with the other great shaving soaps, such as Czech & Speake, Acqua di Parma, Martin de Candre etc. What made me write this review, however, was the rosewood bowl. It is a very attractive and beautiful bowl with a nice knob - it is the best wood bowl that I have ever used, and I have just ordered another one so that I can place other soaps in it! The asking price of $32.95 represents very good value as well when you consider that competing products from The Art of Shaving and Floris, for example, sell for $50 and $70 respectively. I have Floris in JF and No 89 scents and love them both, but Dr Dittmar performs just as well, if not better, and its bowl is even nicer than the already above-the-norm Floris'.
