Insitut Karite was my first (and only) foray into French soaps and has quickly become my preferred soap of choice.
Possesses excellent, non-irritating, moisturizing properties. Perfect lather. Likely not considered amongst the most "masculine" of scents; however, the scent is rather mild and pleasant. I prefer un-scented or a light natural scent … Instut Karite is a nice balance.
In a nut shell … I love this soap!
Competing soaps / creams in my regular line-up: T&H cream (sensitive), Gold Dachs Rivivage soap, AofS soap (non-scented), VDH deluxe. Italian soaps / creams irritate my skin (I.e., Proraso, Cella) = tried, but avoid like the plague now.
