Great Shave! I like the light scent, lather is rich, did not take much product to get the lather going. Badger brush soaked in very warm water for a few minutes along with the mug, drained the excess with very light one shake. rubbed bristles of brush in a swirl a couple times around the cream bowl, stirred up the lather in the mug!

For some mysterious reason, I found my face lightly red the first time I used this product. I thought it was because the razor, but then, the last time I used this cream, my face was even more red and completely irritated. I guess it was because some particular ingredient, and since it is the first time that something like that happened to me, it is better if I don't buy this brand anymore.

Who knew that a shaving cream could make such a difference. This stuff is amazing. I recently just started shaving with a safety razor instead of the cartridge type. I initially used the standard shaving cream you get at walmart, etc. I thought it was fine until I purchased this stuff for the first time. The difference is phenomenal. Much smoother shave, less nicks.
Definitely recommend. I just picked up my second bowl of this stuff. |

I began wetshaving with Taylor's Lavender Cream after seeing a piece on CNN about the original Art of Shaving in NYC. I called them and ordered a tub and have never looked back. The creams are deeply scented and provide excellent shaving performance (and seem to have a good margin of error for beginners). They made (and continue to make) such an impression that one of my first stops in London was Taylor's shop. I have used the Shaving Shop, Avocado, Rose, Lavender, and most recently the Sandalwood scents and have yet to be disappointed.

I ordered the Sandalwood shaving cream. It smells great and is easy to get a thick lather for a great shave. I will definitely be ordering again.

At first I was somewhat hesitant to try a rose scented soap. However the scent was pleasantly surprising as it wasn't overpowering. One drawback of the scent is that it was very floral and I prefer a more sharp scent. The lather that I wiped up was very thick and protective. The lather lasted long enough for my usual two passes. Another positive for this cream is you do not need much cream to whip up a great lather. Used 75% volume of cream as I do with many of my other creams and got just as much lather.
Overall I would give this four stars because the lather was great and gave me a really good shave however the scent wasn't sharp enough.

I first found the Taylor's shaving cream on a trip to London. My husband loves it. He says it is the best shaving cream he has ever used--very moisurizing and pleasantly scented. I was thrilled to find it available here.
