These handmade strops are the
pride of Amish craftsman working out of Ohio. Strong, wide, and
dependable, the Red Latigo's premium cowhide ensures a faithful straight
razor, and its twin strop, which hangs behind the cowhide, is made from
unique webbed fabric that recalls vintage strop texture. A surface of 17
inches X 3 inches makes available a fine working area.

I can not as of yet tell you of the quality of this strop but I can let you know it looks of the same quality that I remember seeing as a child in our old fashioned barbershops in Florida. When the barber use to sharpen his straight razor to shave grandpa and the smell of bay rum filled the air. Yes, I a young girl would go with my grandfather to the barbershops. It was not a bad experience since there was always conversation and you could watch the barber cut & shave grandpa and we recieved a bottle of coke. Ahhh...memories of the past. I also know that the Amish people take pride in their design and labor and would not hesitate to purchase one of these wonderful strops. Being this strop is made of premium leather unlike some items in this era, if cared for properly this could last for quite sometime. I will be purchasing this strop to sharpen razor blades, scissors and knives I will post again once I have put it into use...looking forward to trying it out.
