any more than a dab it gets greasy in fact I could still feel it hours later. One tub of this will last you a long time as you can't use to much. I am still learning to use a straight and as you can imagine that can lead to some bad shaves but this stuff worked very well on healing that up. There is not much of a smell its kind of a light vanilla/almond type of thing. Also the packaging is not ideal I think I would like it better in the pump container like the facial wash is in.
